Who is Mushie?
Mushie is a 7-year-old female French bulldog who was lost by a dog sitter in North Hollywood on September 17, 2024. We are offering a $10,000 reward for her return or information on her whereabouts.
Mushie was rescued from Palmdale after a breeder dumped her when she could no longer have puppies. Mushie has had a difficult journey, and her separation from us is only adding to her heartache and confusion.
Why join the search?
My family and I have gone to extreme lengths to find our rescue dog Mushie and we aren’t giving up now. We will continue the search until Mushie is home and we need YOUR help to spread our message and reach the people that have her.

My partner and I did not lose Mushie ourselves - Mushie was lost by a dog sitter less than fifteen minutes after we dropped her off. We vetted the sitter who had watched Mushie nearly ten times before.
French bulldogs are often commodified and thus are moved around for selling or breeding (luckily Mushie is spayed). Although we strongly believe Mushie is in the San Fernando Valley/Los Angeles, we can’t know for sure. No matter where you’re located, YOU can be an extra set of eyes to help in our search and spread the word.
While Mushie is a French bulldog, my partner and I did not buy her from a breeder - we rescued her after she was dumped by a breeder. We saw her for the sad, neglected animal she was and vowed to care for her. Mushie’s breed had nothing to do with why we rescued her and we will always choose to adopt, not shop.

Mushie could be anywhere in the San Fernando Valley or beyond. With no family in the area, my partner and I bear the brunt of the physical aspects of our search, from putting up thousands of flyers and displaying banners, to giving flyers to countless veterinarians, pet stores, groomers, and clinics.
We need YOUR help to cover more ground! Join the hundreds of kind neighbors who have helped put flyers up, shared them on social media, delivered them to their veterinarians and other pet services, and displayed large posters outside their home or business.

Contribute to the reward
Since Mushie went missing in September, my family and I have covered the costs of the search entirely on our own, spending thousands to print flyers, create banners, run advertisements, purchase supplies, etc. As we continue to incur expenses throughout this process, we are grateful for any help in fundraising for the reward to encourage those who have Mushie to release her to us. All donations will go towards the reward.
When we rescued Mushie, we didn’t care that she was a “luxury” breed. We saw her as an emaciated, neglected animal that needed love and healing. We have since learned that frenchies are often stolen for their monetary value, and we wonder if Mushie’s breed has played a factor in our prolonged separation. We won’t give up until she is home and we hope a hefty reward will help make this happen. Thank you for your support!
